Russian Language Classes

Russian for Beginners 1 and 2

This course is designed to help students with little or no skills in Russian language to develop a practical basic Russian. The students will be introduced to the Russian Cyrillic alphabet, pronunciation, basic grammar, and trained in conversation on simple everyday situations.

This course will also give an opportunity to explore various aspects of the Russian culture, history, traditions and customs.

Advanced Beginners

This course is the next level of Russian for Beginners course. However anyone who can read in Russian or has knowledge of the Russian Cyrillic alphabet can join this class. The course develops different functional skills of language usage: speaking, reading, writing and translating from and into Russian.

This course will also give an opportunity to explore various aspects of the Russian culture, history, traditions and customs.

Intermediate Level

Woman reading a bookIntermediate level I and II courses are more orientated on further study of grammar, developing the skills of written and oral expression. Students are encouraged to use their language skills to communicate and interact in a variety of situations and contexts. This class develops student’s skills to pass Australian universities’ Russian language tests.

Learners will develop Russian language skills beyond a basic level for effective communication and enjoyment – speaking and listening using correct pronunciation, reading and writing.

This course will also give an opportunity to explore various aspects of the Russian culture, history, traditions and customs.

Conversational Group

This course is designed to help students with some knowledge of Russian language to develop a better, confident conversational Russian and make possible to enjoy reading wonderful Russian authors.

The students will focus on conversations, reading and understanding original texts of the best Russian writers. Also there is an opportunity to learn more about Russian literature, culture and history. Complex grammar, advanced vocabulary and sentence structures also will be explained and practiced.

The course is designed to bring students’ oral and written communication skills to a higher level of proficiency. Stories and dialogues are selected to expose students to a range of themes.

All study materials will be provided.
